Bracketing notes:
- Kansas State and North Carolina were swapped because there were too many Big 12 teams in the bottom halves of regions.
- The ranking within the #3 seed band is crucial, because there are so many midwestern teams fighting for the second Milwaukee pod. Wisconsin gets it here, but Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, Creighton, Cincinnati, and Kentucky would all love to get there. All of those teams instead end up quite a long way from their respective campuses.
- The committee would love to get Texas up to a #4 seed as an excuse to put them in San Antonio. After tonight's thrashing of Oklahoma State, they'll probably get there in the next update.
- I did what I could to get some western teams in the Spokane pods, but the fans at that game will be mostly family and close friends of the players. Not much can be done about that; the only Pacific Northwest team in the field is Gonzaga, and they shouldn't be placed in Spokane because their seed is too low to get that kind of home court advantage.
