February 10 seed bands

Last night saw a fairly big upset, as St. John's knocked off Creighton.  I never understood some of the love Creighton was getting from bracketologists, many of whom had Creighton as a #2 seed.  Yes, they gave Villanova a huge beatdown on the road, but that is their only win over teams that are comfortably above the bubble.  They now have four losses: San Diego State, George Washington, at Providence, and at St. John's.  I definitely have to slot Wisconsin and Iowa ahead of them.  Wisconsin is 4-2 against the RPI top 20 (Creighton is 1-1).  Their wins over Florida, Michigan State, and at Virginia more than make up for their loss to Northwestern, plus the rest of their schedule is more impressive as well.  Iowa has six losses, but all are to the RPI top 20, and just gave Michigan a solid thrashing.  Creighton is just below Cincinnati for me; Cincinnati has a better record but a much easier schedule, and while they don't have the top-end win over a team like Villanova, they have four wins against teams that I have seeded #7 or higher.

Other notes: I had missed Xavier defeating Providence on Saturday, so the Friars are bumped down into a play-in game.  Also, the bubble is an absolute mess; all four of my play-in teams from Friday lost this weekend, and because the other teams competing with them are so weak, two of them stayed on top of the bubble.  Can we go back to 64 teams now?
